Gas consumption (Nm³/h)=[ Steam enthalpy gain per hour (kcal/h) ] /  [ Gas LHV (kcal/Nm³)×Boiler efficiency ]​

• Steam enthalpy gain = Boiler evaporation capacity × Enthalpy of evaporation

• For saturated steam at 1.25 MPa (≈194 °C), the evaporation enthalpy (latent heat) is ∼ 539 kcal/kg.

• Thus, 8 000 kg/h × 539 kcal/kg ≈ 4 312 000 kcal/h.
