Project Introduction

Facing Tianjin’s 2025 mandate to slash coal consumption by 500,000 tons, Huitong Runpu Heating – serving 42 residential communities and 16 industrial parks – confronted dual crises: six coal-fired DZL boilers (installed 2010) operated at 68% efficiency with frequent tube bursts, while winter PM2.5 levels near their plant exceeded 120 μg/m³. The 2023 upgrade installed three SZS14-1.25/115/70-YQ water-tube boilers (10MW each) to supply 115℃ outgoing/70℃ return water for 153 days across -12°C winters, prioritizing emission control without compromising 24/7 heat network stability.

Product Advantages

The SZS14 boiler’s membrane-type water-cooled furnace and double-drum structure achieve a thermal efficiency of 92.3% by optimizing flue gas velocity to less than 8 m/s, minimizing ash accumulation, 24% higher than conventional systems. Crucially, its condensing economizer recovers waste heat in 55°C return water, further improving efficiency by 7%, while low-temperature sulfur corrosion is prevented by controlling the feed water pH (maintained at 8.5-9.0). The system adapts to Tianjin’s real-time carbon trading prices by intelligently coordinating the load balance of the boiler’s three units, shifting 40% of the load to nighttime operation when grid intensity drops below 380 gCO2/kWh. Integrated SNCR technology limits nitrogen oxide (NOx) concentrations to 48 mg/m3, consistent with the threshold of Tianjin’s “Blue Sky” action plan.
